JTBC has unveiled the first images of Ji Sung in his new drama « The Apartment Job«, offering a glimpse of the unconventional character he will portray this summer.
In the film, the actor completely sheds his usual persona to step into the shoes of a former gang leader turned debt collector, who will stop at nothing to get his hands on a hidden fortune.

A former gangster with a fearsome reputation
«The Apartment Job» tells the story of Park Hae-kang, the former leader of the Oasis gang, who decides to run for a seat on the residents’ council of an apartment complex.
His goal, however, is not to serve the residents: his primary aim is to recover a large sum of money hidden within the condominium. As his investigation unfolds, however, he finds himself confronted with various cases of corruption and embezzlement.
Officially, Park Hae-kang runs a trading company. But behind this respectable facade, he secretly operates an illegal gambling den reserved for a select clientele.
Nicknamed the «king of debt collection,» he boasts an impressive collection rate of 0.%—a reputation that speaks to his effectiveness… and likely his unconventional methods.

A Radical Transformation for Ji Sung
The new images showcase a rarely seen side of Ji Sung. With his luxurious suits, cold gaze, and calculating demeanor, the actor seems to have fully embraced the personality of this complex character.
The production team has also hinted that this initial transformation is just a glimpse of the evolution Park Hae-kang will undergo as the story unfolds.
According to the producers: «His appearance is just the beginning of the dramatic transformation he’ll undergo in the series.»

One of the most anticipated dramas of the summer
With its blend of comedy, mystery, and social satire centered on life in a condominium, «The Apartment Job» is already one of JTBC’s most anticipated new shows.
The series also promises to showcase a new side of Ji Sung’s talent, as he is known for switching between intense dramas and more eccentric characters.
«The Apartment Job» will premiere on July 11 at 10:40 p.m. (KST) on JTBC and will be available on Netflix.
