Netflix continues to unveil new previews of “Teach You a Lesson”his next drama, a blend of action, social criticism and educational thriller.

The series will follow the ERPB (Educational Rights Protection Bureau), a fictional government unit created to restore teachers' authority in an education system in chaos, between school violence, abusive parents and outdated establishments.

The drama is directed by Hong Jong-chan, known for «Juvenile Justice», while the script is by Lee Nam-kyu, screenwriter of «Daily Dose of Sunshine».

Kim Moo-yeol as a former soldier ready to intervene

Kim Moo-yeol plays Na Hwa-jin, a former Special Forces member turned ERPB inspector.

Always dressed in a black suit, his character appears cold and direct, but remains deeply committed to protecting victims. The first images already reveal a character ready to use radical methods to restore order in schools.

A team with very different personalities

Lee Sung-min plays Choi Gang-seok, the Minister of Education behind the creation of the ERPB. Determined to save an ailing school system, he doesn't hesitate to oppose head-on those who seek to wipe out the unit.

Jin Ki-joo plays Im Han-rim, a junior supervisor and former military colleague of Na Hwa-jin. Behind her well-groomed appearance lies a particularly impulsive and combative personality.

Finally, P.O. plays Bong Geun-dae, a data analyst. Despite his sometimes naive side, he gradually becomes a key member of the team thanks to his intellectual abilities.

The director explained that the dynamic between the 4 characters was one of the strong points of the drama, evoking a real “team chemistry” on the set: «I remember the scene where the entire ERPB team intervenes for the first time. When the 4 characters» distinct personalities came together, I found myself applauding on the set."

With its sensitive topic around the Korean education system and its mix of action and social commentary, “Teach You a Lesson” is shaping up to be one of the most striking Netflix dramas of June. All 10 episodes will be available on June 5 on Netflix worldwide.
