With just a few weeks to go, tvN's next drama « Spooky in Love »continues to unveil its main characters. After the first images of Park Eun-bin, it's now Yang Se-jong who reveals his role in a new series of official photos.
Adapted from the Korean film Spellbound released in 2011, «Spooky in Love» tells the story of a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who finds himself drawn into a supernatural world.
A brilliant prosecutor whose life is turned upside down
Yang Se-jong plays Ma Gang-wook, an elite prosecutor with the Seoul Public Prosecutor's Office. Renowned for his keen sense of justice, perseverance and investigative skills, Ma Gang-wook is appreciated by his colleagues for his integrity and determination to solve each case to the end. Accustomed to tackling unsolved cases, he refuses to give in to political pressure or networks of influence.
But his life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with a mysterious woman at a crime scene.
Ma Gang-wook's worst nightmare becomes reality
The character has a rather ironic peculiarity: he's deathly afraid of ghosts. However, after meeting Cheon Yeo-ri, played by Park Eun-bin, he suddenly develops the ability to see spirits.
This new ability turns his daily life upside down and leads him into a series of strange and unexplained events. As he tries to understand the origin of this power, many supernatural phenomena begin to appear around him.
The new images unveiled by tvN illustrate this contrast perfectly.
In some shots, Ma Gang-wook appears as the determined prosecutor everyone knows, pursuing a suspect with energy and assurance. In others, he appears completely unsettled after catching a glimpse of something invisible to the eyes of others, foreshadowing the difficulties he will encounter in this new world.
A long-awaited supernatural romance
The chemistry between Yang Se-jong and Park Eun-bin is already one of the drama's main attractions.
A mix of criminal investigation, paranormal phenomena and romance, «Spooky in Love» promises to blend several genres in a story as mysterious as it is moving.
The drama will air from July 18, 2026 on tvN and Netflix.
