A few weeks before its release, « See You At Work Tomorrow! »continues to unveil its universe.
tvN has released a new teaser focusing on the budding relationship between Park Ji-hyun and Seo In-guk, This is a funny and touching office romance. Adapted from the successful webtoon of the same name, the series will follow an employee exhausted by her daily professional life, who gradually sees her life change thanks to her superior.
An employee on the verge of exhaustion
Park Ji-hyun plays Cha Ji-yoon, an experienced employee at Saeum Electronics.
Despite her recognized skills, she is going through a difficult period. Between repetitive tasks, constant work pressure and the sometimes cold remarks of her superior, her daily routine has become particularly burdensome.
The teaser opens with an original definition of «lovesickness»: «A disease of the heart that appears because of the person you love.»
But a few seconds later, the text changes and replaces «the person you love» with : «your boss», immediately announcing the romantic and humorous tone of the drama.
A cold boss who could change everything
Seo In-guk plays Kang Si-woo, Cha Ji-yoon's superior.
Just when she seems to have lost all motivation, a harmless event turns their relationship upside down. After picking up a diary she had accidentally dropped, Kang Si-woo declares, «I'd like to work with you, Cha Ji-yoon.»
A simple sentence, but enough to provoke an unexpected reaction from the young woman. Picking up her notebook, she immediately thinks, «Wow... why is my heart beating so fast?»
The teaser suggests that behind the professional relationship lies something much more personal.
A light romance full of complicity
The trailer concludes with a face-off between the 2 characters.
Just as their relationship seems to be evolving, Cha Ji-yoon utters a sentence that perfectly sums up the drama's concept: «Despite this lovesickness, I'll still go to work tomorrow.»
Somewhere between office romance, personal reconstruction and everyday humor, “See You At Work Tomorrow!” seems set to seduce viewers with a light-hearted story carried by 2 actors who are particularly popular with the public.
A drama due in June
After a number of more dramatic roles in recent years, Seo In-guk returns to a romantic register (for the 2nd time this year, after « Boyfriend on demand«), which largely contributed to its popularity with K-drama fans.
For her part, Park Ji-hyun should offer a particularly endearing character, inspired by the realities experienced by many employees confronted with professional routine.
The chemistry between the 2 actors is already proving to be one of the series' main assets.
«See You At Work Tomorrow! will be broadcast from June 22 at 8:50 p.m. on tvN and available worldwide on Prime Video.
