The drama “Fifties Professionals”continues to reveal itself with the first images from Shin Ha-kyun in his role, revealing a multi-faceted character.
This action-comedy follows 3 middle-aged men with dangerous pasts, forced back into service after a mysterious incident turns their lives upside down. Exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon, they attempt to unravel the secrets of an event that took place ten years earlier.
At the center of this story, Shin Ha-kyun plays a man torn between his elite past and his present life.

Spy and chef
Shin Ha-kyun plays Jung Ho-myung, a former elite agent of the National Intelligence Service, now a chef in a Chinese restaurant. After a mission gone wrong, he finds himself living undercover on the island, with the aim of finding a crucial element linked to his past.
But as the years go by, his daily life takes over. Between family responsibilities and the need to support himself, he gradually drifts away from his initial goal, without ever abandoning it completely.

The first images highlight this striking contrast. On one side, an agent with a piercing gaze and a controlled attitude. On the other, a man marked by time, evolving in a more ordinary setting, but one that retains a certain intensity.

This discrepancy underlines the complexity of the character, caught between what he once was and what he has become.

The production team stresses the importance of this duality, explaining that Jung Ho-myung's double life is at the heart of the drama. It also highlights the expected performance of Shin Ha-kyun, whose commitment and presence should leave their mark on the series.
The drama will air from May 22 on MBC.
