The drama “Fifties Professionals”continues to unveil its characters with new images focusing on Oh Jung-se, who promises a striking transformation.
This action-comedy follows three men with dangerous pasts, once at the top of their respective fields, now forced to live in the shadows after a mysterious event ten years earlier. Reunited on the isolated island of Yeongseon, they attempt to understand what has changed their destiny.
Among them, the character of’Oh Jung-se stands out for its striking contrast between past and present.

From human weapon to ordinary employee
Oh Jung-se stars as Bong Je-soon, a former North Korean elite agent who has lost his memory. Prior to this incident, he was known as “Bulgae”, a veritable human weapon renowned for his taekkyeon and infiltration skills.
On a mission to recover sensitive documents and illegal funds, he disappears at sea before running aground on Yeongseon Island, far from any landmarks.
The first images highlight two opposite sides of the character. In his past, Bong Je-soon exudes a cold, ruthless aura, with an intense gaze that testifies to his stamina and ability to survive in extreme situations.

But after losing his memory, he becomes unrecognizable. Settled on the island, he now leads a modest life, doing mundane tasks such as repairing photocopiers or washing his superior's car. His more shy, self-effacing demeanor brings a touch of humor, contrasting with his former reputation.

This duality should play a central role in the drama, mixing action, mystery and lighter moments.
“Fifties Professionals” will be broadcast from May 22 at 9:50pm (Korean time) on MBC (awaiting an international platform).
