JTBC has shared a first look at the script reading for its upcoming drama « The Apartment Job »supported by Ji Sung, Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun and Moon So-ri.
Expected in July, this original series will blend comedy, corruption, investigation and neighborhood life through the story of a former gangster desperate to get his hands on a mysterious treasure hidden in a mansion.

Ji Sung becomes a former gang leader turned condo president
Ji Sung plays Park Hae-kang, former leader of the Oasis gang, famous for never leaving a single debt unpaid.
When he learns that he needs to raise 10 billion won to save Yong-man, an important father figure in his life, he decides to run for president of his building's residents' association. What starts out as a simple financial operation soon turns into a real battle against corruption.
At the script reading, Ji Sung gave a first glimpse of his character's strong character, capable of standing up to all injustices while gradually developing bonds with the residents of the residence.
The actor said, «I will do my best to develop Park Hae-kang's character.»

Ha Yoon-kyung plays an aspiring lawyer caught in her own lies
Opposite him, Ha Yoon-kyung plays Kang Ha-ri, a young woman who dreams of becoming a lawyer at the prestigious WePartners law firm.
The reality, however, is less glamorous: she simply works in the firm's free legal advice department. In order not to disappoint her sister, who has been helping her financially for years, she pretends to have landed a real job as a lawyer.
This situation eventually brings her closer to Park Hae-kang, giving rise to a relationship made up of arguments, tensions and growing complicity.

Park Byung-eun and Moon So-ri complete the cast
Park Byung-eun plays Lee Choong-won, a powerful construction executive living in the penthouse of the residence. Charming, wealthy and particularly skilled with words, he hides a much more complex personality.
When Park Hae-kang begins investigating the building's management funds, the 2 men soon find themselves at odds.
The actor explained, «Reading the script, I discovered six or seven different facets of Lee Choong-won.»

For her part, Moon So-ri plays Jang Sook-jin, a resident known for knowing everything about the life of the residence and its neighbors. Always up to date on the latest gossip, chatty but formidably effective, she brings an important comic dimension to the series.

A neighborhood comedy with thriller overtones
With its mix of humor, social satire and real estate corruption, «The Apartment Job» promises to be one of the most original projects of the summer.
The drama will also unite several generations of actors around a subject very familiar to Korean audiences: life in large residential complexes and the conflicts that can lurk there.
«The Apartment Job» will air in July 2026 on JTBC.
