It's shaping up to be a busy summer for fans of Korean romances. ENA has officially confirmed the broadcast date of « Dream to You »his new drama starring Hwang In-yeop and Hyeri, while revealing a glimpse of his first script reading.
Written by Jung Eun-bi, who helped write such hit dramas as «Guardian: The Lonely and Great God» and «Doom at Your Service», the drama will tell a story of reunion, forgotten dreams and first love.
A second chance for their dreams... and their story
Hwang In-yeop will play the role of Woo Soo-bin, a prodigious director who has enjoyed dazzling success, winning numerous awards at international festivals.
After realizing his dream, he returns to Korea to find Joo Yi-jae, the woman who has always held a special place in his heart.
Facing him, Hyeri will play Joo Yi-jae, a journalist who has gradually abandoned her own ambitions after being confronted with the difficulties of adult life.
When she learns of the return of Woo Soo-bin, with whom she once shared the dream of becoming a film director, she begins to look again at a future she thought she'd left behind for good.
A cast that completes the main quartet
The drama will also reunite several well-known faces. Baek Sung-chul will play Shim Yoo-geon, a struggling actor trying to make it in the industry while dreaming of becoming the «Korean Takeshi Kaneshiro».
For her part, Lee Yul-eum will play Oh Ha-na, a star actress who grew up in the spotlight but never really found a personal dream to pursue.
A romance between two former lovers
According to the production team: «The story follows two people who met in their late teens and experienced their first love together. When they find themselves in their thirties, they embark on a journey to fulfill both their dreams and their love story.»
The drama promises a combination of romance, emotion and hope as characters confront the dreams they've abandoned and the ones they still wish to realize.
Broadcast in July
«Dream to You» will follow on from «Doctor on the Edge» on ENA.
The drama will begin airing on July 13, 2026 at 10pm in Korea (awaiting an international platform).
