A new historical drama project is already attracting attention. Yoo Yeon-seok and Lee Se-young are on track to star together in“Princess Covet a Scholar”(working title, in French «La princesse convoite un érudit»), according to Korean media outlet OSEN.
According to several reports, the 2 actors have received a casting proposal and are considering the project positively, with participation apparently becoming clearer.

A forbidden romance at the heart of the royal court
Adapted from a webtoon, the drama will mix courtly romance and political intrigue in a historical setting. The story follows Princess Eun-myeong, daughter of the king, who grows up in solitude after losing her mother at an early age. Enclosed by the strict rules of the palace, her life is turned upside down when she falls in love with a scholar, Kim Seo-yul, and decides to marry him.
But their relationship is far from simple. A long-standing conflict between their families quickly turns their love story into a complex struggle of rivalry and power. Their romance, marked by obstacles and tensions, evokes a Korean version of “Romeo and Juliet”.
Lee Se-young would be offered the role of Princess Eun-myeong, a character both courageous and curious despite a childhood marked by isolation. Opposite her, Yoo Yeon-seok would play Seo-yul, son of a high dignitary, an intelligent and charismatic man who tries to repel the princess as she grows closer to him.
This project would mark the first collaboration between the 2 actors, already raising high expectations for their on-screen chemistry.
Director Moon Hyun-sung is said to be in charge of production, while broadcasting is still under discussion.
