The new SBS drama « Phantom Lawyer »is about to kick off with a first case that's as unusual as it is intriguing. New images show Yoo Yeon-seok facing Esom in a trial scene where one detail changes everything: the client he's defending is a ghost.
The series follows Shin I-rang, a lawyer who can see spirits. Together with elite lawyer Han Na-hyun, he finds himself solving the unfinished business of very special clients: ghosts seeking justice.
A first trial under high tension
Shin I-rang has barely opened his office when he finds himself involved in an unexpected case that takes him straight to court.

Opposite him is Han Na-hyun, played by Esom, a formidable lawyer known for her composure and impressive win rate. The contrast between the two promises an intense confrontation: on one side, Shin I-rang, who relies on instinct and intuition; on the other, Han Na-hyun, who bases everything on logic and impeccable legal strategy.

Their first courtroom confrontation foreshadows a rivalry that could well become central to the series.
An audience like no other
The scene becomes even more unexpected with the presence of Shin I-rang's entire family cheering him on.
His mother Park Kyung-hwa (Kim Mi-kyung) and her sister Shin Sa-rang (Son Yeo-eun) wave their arms in support, while her brother-in-law Yoon Bong-soo (Jeon Seok-ho) also accompanies them.

But the strangest element is the presence of Lee Kang-poong (Heo Sung-tae), a ghost with an unjust history that Shin I-rang seeks to defend in court.

The production team explained that from the very first episode, viewers will be able to discover the series' unique universe and the charm of its characters. According to them, the trial scene involving a lawyer, his opponent, his family and a ghost client promises original entertainment.
The drama «Phantom Lawyer» will air from March 13 at 9:50pm (KST) on SBS and will also be available on Viki and Netflix.
