The drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier”continues to build anticipation with a new poster featuring its main characters in an unexpected setting: a bustling military kitchen.
Adapted from a popular web novel and webtoon, this drama blends comedy, fantasy and the military through the journey of Kang Sung-jae, a soldier whose life is turned upside down when a mysterious video game-like system appears before him.
A colorful team in a tense kitchen
In the center of the poster, Park Ji-hoon plays Kang Sung-jae with boundless energy. Equipped with simple rubber gloves rather than conventional military gear, he adopts a fighter's stance, ready to do battle... behind the stove.
Alongside him, several characters add to the quirky atmosphere. Yoon Kyung-ho lends his features to Staff Sergeant Park Jae-young, displaying a quiet assurance, reinforced by his relaxed attitude despite the surrounding chaos.
Han Dong-hee plays lieutenant Jo Ye-rin, whose serious posture and firm grip on a lunch tray reflect her sense of responsibility as head of the Gangrim station.
For his part, Lee Hong-nae plays Yoon Dong-hyun, an impressive sergeant capable of carrying several sacks of rice at a time, illustrating his physical strength. Lee Sang-yi, in the role of Hwang Seok-ho, contrasts with a calm, controlled demeanor, delicately holding a cup of tea.
The whole is enhanced by a dynamic mise-en-scène: exploding vegetables, trays in mid-air and a catchy slogan announcing “a legend that will turn military cuisine upside down”, giving a glimpse of the series' energetic, offbeat tone.
The drama will be broadcast from May 11 at 8:50 pm (Korean time) on tvN and available on Viki.
