The drama " Spooky in Love »has unveiled the first official images of Park Eun-bin in her new role. This drama, billed as an occult romance and supernatural investigation, is the remake of the 2011 Korean film Spellbound.
The story will follow Cheon Yeo-ri, a hotel heiress who can see ghosts, and a passionate prosecutor who find themselves bound together in a relationship as chaotic as it is mysterious.
An icy CEO with a dark secret
Park Eun-bin plays Cheon Yeo-ri, CEO of the Rayna Hotel.
The character is described as a woman of beauty, intelligence and wealth, as well as being the sole biological heiress of the hotel group's president. But behind this perfect image lies a disturbing secret: Cheon Yeo-ri can see ghosts and hear the stories of the dead.
More troubling still, anyone who comes into physical contact with her also inherits this supernatural ability. For this reason, the character constantly keeps her distance from others and is nicknamed in business circles «the reclusive princess». Perhaps also a reason why she wears gloves in all the images?
An elegant and mysterious transformation
In the first images unveiled by tvN, Park Eun-bin appears with a sophisticated style and a particularly cool expression.
The character almost always wears gloves and adopts a closed posture, crossing her arms or keeping her hands clasped to avoid contact. The production explains that the actress will show both the icy charisma and the more fragile emotions of Cheon Yeo-ri.
The drama will also feature Yang Se-jong as prosecutor Ma Kang-wook.
«Spooky in Love» will debut on July 18 at 9:10pm (Korean time) on tvN and will also be released simultaneously on Netflix. In any case, it's a radical departure from her previous role in «The WONDERfools», released in May! We love this actress, who knows how to embody so many different facets of her characters.
