The cast of the highly anticipated live-action “Solo Leveling”continues to be the talk of the town.
According to several Korean media, Kang Mina is currently in talks to join the future Netflix adaptation of the famous Korean webtoon. His agency responded cautiously, however, stating that «nothing has yet been confirmed».

One of Netflix's most eagerly awaited projects
“Solo Leveling” is undoubtedly one of the most popular Korean licenses of recent years. First published as a web novel on KakaoPage, the work then exploded worldwide thanks to its adaptation as a webtoon and then as an anime.

The phenomenon has now racked up over 14.3 billion views worldwide, while the anime made its mark at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, winning prizes for Anime of the Year, Best Action Series and Best Character.
The story follows Sung Jin-woo, an E-rank Hunter considered the weakest of all, in a world threatened by monsters emerging from mysterious portals called Gates. After surviving a near-suicidal mission, he obtains a unique ability that gradually enables him to become one of mankind's most powerful hunters.
As previously announced, Byeon Woo-seok to play Sung Jin-woo in this ambitious live-action adaptation. Han So-hee is said to be in talks for the role of Cha Hae-in., while Kang You-seok could play Yoo Jin-ho.
A possible reunion with Byeon Woo-seok
If confirmed, Kang Mina would be reunited with Byeon Woo-seok after their previous collaborations in “Moonshine” and the short drama “History of Walking Upright”.

A former member of the band I.O.I, the actress recently starred in the Netflix series “If Wishes Could Kill”where she played Im Na-ri.
The project will be directed by Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo, while Kakao Entertainment and SANAI PICTURES will oversee production, with the ambition of delivering top-notch special effects to bring the universe's famous monsters and dungeons to life.
Even without an official release date yet, “Solo Leveling” is already establishing itself as one of the most eagerly awaited Korean Netflix projects of the next few years.
