A new romantic drama is about to join Korea's year-end line-up. Entitled « Rediscovery of Love« the project has confirmed its main cast of Kim So-yeon, Kim Ji-suk, Yoon Hyun-min and Hwang Woo-seul-hye.
The series will tell the story of a divorced couple who find themselves forced to live under the same roof and work in the same hotel, forcing them to reconsider their past and their feelings.
A divorced couple gets a second chance
Kim So-yeon will play the role of Jang Ha-kyung, a contract worker in the VIP lounge of a luxury hotel.
Once considered a promising hotelier in a prestigious establishment, she put her career on hold after her marriage and the birth of her child. In trying to reconcile her role as wife, mother and daughter-in-law, she gradually lost sight of her own aspirations.
After her divorce, she decides to resume her career. But her new life takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself sharing a house with her ex-husband while working in the same hotel as him.
Kim Ji-suk plays Lee Dong-jin, assistant marketing manager at the same VIP lounge. Convinced that he has always done his best for his family, he is deeply destabilized when his wife announces her unhappiness and asks for a divorce.
A year later, while still trying to understand the reasons for their separation and to become a better version of himself, he reunites with Ha-kyung in unexpected circumstances.
A rival in love appears
The love triangle will be completed by Yoon Hyun-min, who will play Park Moo-hyuk, in charge of the hotel's VIP lounge.
Nine years earlier, he had met Ha-kyung and never managed to forget her. When he meets up with her again, he decides this time not to let his chance slip through his fingers. Her arrival could further complicate the already fragile relationship between the two ex-husbands.
Hwang Woo-seul-hye adds a touch of freshness
Hwang Woo-seul-hye plays Oh Yoo-mi, Ha-kyung's former colleague and best friend. A café owner, barista trainer and popular YouTube artist, her philosophy is simple: marriage is optional, but love is indispensable.
His energy and free-spirited personality should bring a light touch to this story about human relationships and second chances.
A mature and realistic romance
With its plot centered on a divorced couple confronting their regrets, wounds and lingering feelings, «Rediscovery of Love» promises to explore romantic relationships from a more mature angle than traditional romances.
The chemistry between Kim So-yeon and Kim Ji-suk will be particularly closely watched, as the 2 actors bring to life a complex relationship where love and resentment continue to coexist.
