The cast of the live-action adaptation of « Solo Leveling »on Netflix continues to take shape.
According to Korean media, Cha Woo-min has joined the cast of the series and will play the role of Baruka, a character who will oppose Sung Jin-woo, played by Byeon Woo-seok. This new announcement is already arousing the interest of fans of the original work, as Baruka remains associated with one of the first great challenges faced by the hero in his ascent.
A new adversary for Sung Jin-woo
Adapted from the acclaimed web novel and webtoon, «Solo Leveling» follows the story of Sung Jin-woo, considered the weakest of the E-rank hunters. After a near-death experience on a particularly dangerous mission, he obtains a mysterious ability that enables him to gradually become one of the most powerful hunters in the world.
According to the information revealed, Cha Woo-min will play Baruka, a character destined to come into conflict with Sung Jin-woo during the course of the story. While Netflix has yet to make the details of the role official, the name of Baruka is well known to readers of Solo Leveling.
This character appears in one of the webtoon's most popular arcs, and is considered one of Sung Jin-woo's most memorable adversaries at the start of his career.

The Netflix series is directed by Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo, and produced by Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures.
