The tvN drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier”continues to reveal itself with a new teaser that highlights its offbeat tone, somewhere between military comedy and fantasy.
Supported by Park Ji-hoon, The series follows Kang Sung-jae, a soldier assigned to the kitchen after being sent to an isolated outpost. As he begins his shift, a mysterious quest interface appears before him, marking the start of an unexpected journey.
An unlikely mission: to save the canteen
The teaser quickly introduces the environment in which Kang Sung-jae evolves. The military canteen is described as a veritable nightmare, with questionable hygiene and inedible food. Faced with this situation, the soldiers express their despair, while Kang Sung-jae himself struggles to hide his shock at discovering the food.
Despite this difficult start (and the attempts of his superiors to hold him back) he decides to take matters into his own hands. Thanks to his skills in the kitchen, he begins to radically transform the meals, gradually impressing his comrades.
Opposite him, several army figures try to maintain the status quo, including the sergeant in charge of the kitchen, played by Lee Hong-nae. But Kang Sung-jae remains determined, displaying growing confidence as he progresses.
The drama will air from May 11 at 8:50pm (Korean time) and will be available on Viki.
