The drama “Reborn Rookie”continues to reveal itself with a first glimpse of the character played by Lee Joo-myoung. This new series from JTBC blends the corporate world and second chances, with a plot centered on ambitions and family relationships.
The story follows Kang Yong-ho, played by Son Hyun-joo, a powerful executive at the head of the Choi Sung Group conglomerate. After an accident, he finds himself living a second life in the body of a young soccer player, forced to start from scratch within his own company.
In this context, Lee Ju-myoung plays Kang Bang-geul, the president's youngest daughter, who has been kept out of the public eye for years. Sent abroad as a teenager, she has grown up far from her family, all the while harboring a secret ambition: to prove her worth to a father who has always underestimated her.
A dual identity to reach your goal
To carry out her plan, Kang Bang-geul adopts a new identity and discreetly joins the family business as a junior employee under the name Casey Kang. Her goal is clear: to climb the ladder on her own, without the benefit of her heiress status.
The first images unveiled highlight this duality. On the one hand, she displays a playful, sociable personality, particularly at company dinners, where she shows herself to be at ease and attentive to others. On the other, she reveals a colder determination, marked by a serious look and a certain melancholy.
Just as she is about to prove her abilities, an unexpected event upsets her plans: Kang Yong-ho suddenly collapses, leaving her daughter with a feeling of emptiness and uncertainty.
The drama will air from May 30 at 10.40pm (Korean time).
