The drama “My Royal Nemesis”unveils new posters featuring the key encounter between its two main characters, played by Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-joon.

This romantic comedy tells the story of Shin Seo-ri, a modern actress possessed by the spirit of Kang Dan-shim, a famous antagonist of the Joseon era. Opposite her, Cha Se-gye, a cold, calculating chaebol heir, embodies another form of “villain” in the contemporary world.

The new visuals play on a strong contrast between two eras... and two personalities.

A meeting between 2 worlds... and 2 “antagonists”.”

The posters show Kang Dan-shim and Cha Se-gye facing each other, separated by time but united in the same visual composition. On one side, Dan-shim appears in the Korea of the Joseon era, on the other, Se-gye evolves in a modern setting.

This contrast underscores both their different worlds and a mysterious connection. Between curiosity, mistrust and attraction, their exchange of glances is enough to install a palpable tension.

Several phrases reinforce this dynamic: “A Joseon villain falls into a new world” / “Se-gye collides with a strange villain”.”

All summed up by a central idea: “Bad girl meets new world.”

Kang Dan-shim, born into modest circumstances before becoming a royal concubine and a feared figure, seems destined to cross paths with Cha Se-gye, who is also described as a cold, ruthless figure in his own world.

It remains to be seen how these two characters, from opposite worlds, will interact and influence their respective destinies.

“My Royal Nemesis” will be broadcast from May 8 at 9:50pm (Korean time) on SBS and available worldwide on Netflix.
