The thriller « Mad Concrete Dreams »has unveiled an intense new teaser for the series centered on the gradual downfall of an indebted landlord. The drama follows Ki Soo-jong, a man who thought he'd achieve success by becoming a real estate owner... before his debts catch up with him.
From the very first images, we see him begging, «Please, just let me pay off the debt on my building.»
Up to his eyeballs in debt after investing everything, he finds himself in an uncontrollable financial situation that threatens both his building and his family.
A dangerous proposal
Just as he's hitting rock bottom, his friend Min Hwal-seong says, «How long are you going to go on living scorned? I'll get you in.»
To raise money, Ki Soo-jong even takes out a loan in his wife Kim Seon's name, triggering a violent argument. His anxiety mounts as his bank account plunges into the red.
Faced with an impasse, he tries to convince himself: «Pull yourself together. You can do it.»
When a plan goes wrong
He finally agrees to take part in a fake kidnapping designed to solve his financial problems. But the operation goes wrong and becomes dangerously real, leading to a series of uncontrollable events.
Between survival and crime, the drama promises constant psychological tension around the consequences of its choices.
Mad Concrete Dreams will be broadcast on March 14 at 9:10pm (KST) on tvN (no OTT for the moment).
