ENA begins promotion of its next romantic drama « Dream to You »with the publication of the first 2 posters featuring the characters of Hwang In-yeop and Hyeri, just a few days after having the photos of script reading drama.
Scheduled for release in July, the series will tell the story of two first loves who meet again fifteen years after taking very different paths.
A first love born in 2011
The new posters parallel the characters' past and present.
The first poster takes us back to the summer of 2011. It shows Woo Soo-bin and Joo Yi-jae as high school students. Under a bright sun and in front of the sea, Joo Yi-jae photographs Woo Soo-bin's smile, revealing the feelings they shared at the time.
This image symbolizes the dreams they shared and the complicity that bound them together during their adolescence.
Opposite destinies 15 years later
The second poster transports viewers 15 years into the future.
Woo Soo-bin has now become an internationally acclaimed film director of genius. His first feature-length film won him numerous awards at prestigious festivals, and he appears in the spotlight on a red carpet.
In contrast, Joo Yi-jae has given up her dream of becoming a film director. Now a journalist, her life is very different from the one she imagined as a teenager.
The slogans on the posters sum up their situation perfectly: «I found my unforgettable first love» and «My first love that I had erased has come back.»
A long-awaited reunion romance
According to the production team, the drama will follow how these 2 characters will try to realize their dreams while rediscovering their feelings. «Woo Soo-bin and Joo Yi-jae, who were once moving in the same direction, meet again 15 years later. Their story will offer emotion, nostalgia and romantic moments in equal measure.»
The production also promises great chemistry between Hwang In-youp and Hyeri, who bring this story of rediscovered first love to life.
A screenwriter already familiar to K-drama fans
«Dream to You» is written by Jung Eun-bi, who has previously appeared in popular dramas such as «Guardian: The Lonely and Great God» and «Doom at Your Service». The series also stars Baek Sung-chul and Lee Yul-eum in important roles.
«Dream to You» will be broadcast from July 13 on ENA and is waiting for an international distribution platform.
