The cast of the eagerly awaited sequel to “Moving”is beginning to take shape. According to several reports, young actor Won Gyu-bin could reprise the role of Kim Bong Seok in season 2.
According to local sources, a script reading attended by some 150 members of the team recently took place, with the actor taking part. An indication that reinforces the rumors surrounding his involvement in the project.
A key role in the midst of transition
For the moment, neither Won Gyu-bin's agency nor Disney+ have officially confirmed this information, merely stating that it was “impossible to confirm”.
In the first season, the character of Bong Seok was played by Lee Jung-ha and was one of the central figures in the story. But his absence in the sequel is explained by his commitment to military service, which began in January, with a planned return in 2027.
Season 2 should thus mark a significant evolution, with a refocus on new characters and a greater emphasis on the adult generation, while continuing the established universe.
Adapted from Kang Full's webtoon, “Moving” tells the story of teenagers with supernatural powers who are forced to hide their abilities, as well as their parents, who are also linked to a dangerous past. Together, they face threats that transcend generations.
The first season was a major success, becoming one of Disney+'s biggest Korean hits. The sequel is currently scheduled for 2027.
Won Gyu-bin, still in the early stages of his career, made a name for himself in 2025 and is also due to appear in another drama soon, confirming his rapid ascent.
