Want to start watching kdramas, those addictive Korean series? Welcome to the club! There are many online platforms where you can watch Korean dramas, for free or for a fee, depending on your means. You'll always have access to more series (especially recent ones) if you pay. Beware, too, that some free platforms are illegal (the rights to the series have not been purchased directly from the Korean channels, so your viewing does not remunerate the actors, the production...), which is why we won't mention them here.
Viki
Probably the most essential platform. Rakuten Viki is an application (and website) dedicated to Asian series. K-dramas, C-dramas, J-dramas... You'll find Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Thai series in their catalog, including exclusives as the platform regularly obtains exclusive rights (from Viki originals) for dramas to make them accessible worldwide.
If part of the catalog is available free of charge (with a few ads), you can opt for a subscription (Viki pass) to 5,99 € for the standard, with HD series, access to the entire catalog, 1 simultaneous screen. It's the cheapest platform of all in the kdrama world, and the one we recommend to everyone.
NB: no dramas are available in French on this platform, only VOSTFR, i.e. series with subtitles.

Netflix
Another well-known legal platform: Netflix. In fact, it is probably the platform that has democratized dramas for the general public in many Western countries. While Netflix produces its own dramas, it also buys the rights to series currently airing in South Korea (in 2025, for example, «Bon appétit your majesty», which was a huge success, or «The Queen of Tears» in 2024). It's a platform that gives you access to a good cross-section of what's being broadcast in South Korea, and one that we feel complements the one mentioned above.
For those who want to try their hand at kdramas, Netflix offers dubbing in French (as well as the VO option with subtitles).

Disney+
The leading platform for kdramas (and yes, most of them now understand that this type of series is an essential part of their catalog), Disney+ is increasingly opting for Korean series, although the choice is still small. However, they do have some good titles like «Nine puzzle», «A shop for killers» and «Snowdrop», and are adding their own productions as the months go by, such as «Tempest», «The Manipulated» and «Made in Korea». In 2026, Disney+ has announced a substantial line-up of kdramas.
We regret, however, that this platform, which remains the most expensive of all those mentioned, does not buy the rights to certain dramas for France («Buried Hearts» or «Would you marry me?» in 2025), leaving its French subscribers out in the cold. So if you opt for Disney+ just for the dramas, you'll probably be a little frustrated: expect to get only their own productions for sure, and not all the Korean dramas for which they buy the rights.

Prime Video
Another up-and-coming kdrama platform in France, Prime Video, While some of the dramas in their catalog are also available elsewhere (e.g. «Flower of Evil»), Prime Video is now embarking on exclusive partnerships, offering dramas exclusively on its platform such as «Head over Heels», «Good Boy» in 2025 and «Spring Fever» in 2026.
Here again, it's worth noting that some of these kdramas are also available in French (in addition to VOSTFR, which we love here for the subtleties of the Korean language).
Since 2025, however, we've been deploring series interspersed with numerous long commercials (to encourage people to pay more).

TF1+ and M6+
France seems to be succumbing more and more to kdramas, with the web platforms of TV channels TF1 and M6 both announcing the addition of a number of kdramas to their online catalogs, available free of charge !
M6+ gives access to Lovely runner, I am a running mate... while TF1+ (IN FRENCH) since the end of 2025, gives access to dramas such as «Pinocchio», «Doctor John», «The penthouse»... and these catalogs are set to grow over the years.
Let's be honest, with these 2 free platforms alone, you won't be watching a lot of Korean series, but they can help you get your first foot in the door and become a kdramavore!
