The cast of the medical drama “Sleeping Doctor”continues to expand. Actor Lee Chan-hyung has officially confirmed his participation in the series, joining Jin Ki-joo and Kim Sung-cheol.
According to reports, he will play the role of Yang Jae-jin, an employee working at the Medi-Plus pharmacy, a secondary role but one that should be integrated into the daily life of the clinic at the heart of the plot.
An expanding cast for an original medical comedy
“Sleeping Doctor” is a medical romantic comedy centered on Hong Gyeong, a psychiatrist trying to keep her private clinic going despite her own difficulties, and Nam Ji-oh, a multi-talented freelance doctor. Together, they evolve in a troubled establishment, surrounded by characters with varied backgrounds.
With the arrival of Lee Chan-hyung, the drama strengthens an already promising cast for a story that relies on a mix of humor, emotion and mental health themes.
The actor, revealed to the public with several popular projects such as “Hospital Playlist” and “The Uncanny Counter”, continues his progression here with a role in a drama with an original concept. In 2026, he was also seen in the series “Honor”confirming its growing visibility.
