The next drama from tvN, Typhoon Family has just unveiled a new trailer that plunges viewers into the heart of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

From carefree playboy to determined leader: Kang Tae-poong's transformation
The story follows Kang Tae-poongplayed by Lee Junhoa carefree young man once known as "the playboy of Apgujeong". Accustomed to silk shirts and a hectic nightlife, his world collapses overnight when the MFI crisis hits. His father goes bankrupt, his family loses everything, and he finds himself at the head of a ruined trading company, with no employees, no money and no products to sell.

Determined to rise to this unexpected challenge, Tae Poong now slips into an impeccable suit to save the family business.

The teaser highlights his first clumsy steps in the business world, notably when he asks the accountant Oh Mi-seon (Kim Min-ha): "I want to learn. Please help me." Alongside Mi Seon, he can also count on an eclectic, supportive team: the sales manager Go Ma-jin (Lee Chang-hoon), the seasoned Cha Seon-taek (Kim Jae-hwa), the experienced director Koo Myung-kwan (Kim Song-il), and the audacious Bae Song-joong (Lee Sang-jin), a representative of Generation X. Together, they form a veritable surrogate family, ready to weather the storms of the marketplace.
Among the striking images, Tae Poong walks through flames, exclaiming, "We want to show it, don't we? Our vision, our products!" A cry that sums up his evolution: from a frivolous heir to a leader ready to do anything to save what's left. Despite his inexperience (to the point of not knowing the meaning of "overdue payments") he asserts his determination: "I'll do anything. For this company."
With its blend of human drama, economic tension and collective energy, Typhoon Family promises to be a gripping tale of resilience in the face of adversity.
Broadcast scheduled for October 11 at 9:20pm (KST)The episodes will then be available on Netflix.
