Disney+ has just unveiled the first poster from The Manipulateda dark, breathless thriller due on November 5. The image already sets the tone: an electric confrontation between Ji Chang-wook and Doh Kyung-soo, where revenge and manipulation come together in an intense face-off.
A broken hero versus a ruthless manipulator
The story follows Tae Joong (Ji Chang-wook), an ordinary man whose life is turned upside down when he is falsely accused of an atrocious crime. Behind this trap lies Yo Han (Doh Kyung-soo), a master manipulator who pulls strings with a chilling smile. Determined to regain control of his life, Tae Joong embarks on a quest for revenge where every emotion becomes a weapon.
The poster perfectly illustrates this tension: Tae Joong, his face marked by anger, strikes with all his might, while Yo Han blocks the blow, displaying a twisted rictus that foreshadows a formidable opponent. The black-and-white contrast accentuates the opposition between these two figures, promising a psychological as well as a physical duel.
Promising casting and action-packed direction
This drama marks the Doh Kyung-soo's first foray into a villainous roleA new facet for the actor, who promises to surprise with his cold, implacable performance. Ji Chang-wook, for his part, portrays a tortured character in perpetual evolution, offering a palette of intense emotions.
At their side, Kim Jong-soo, Jo Yoon-soo and Lee Kwang-soo complete the cast, a trio that should add depth and dramatic power. Ji Chang-wook said:
