tvN's next drama, “Spooky in Love”, begins to reveal itself with images of its first script reading. This key moment brought together Park Eun-bin (who seems to have a busy year of dramas!), Yang Se-jong and Ong Seong-wu, accompanied by director Lee Min-soo and scriptwriter Choi Jung-mi.
Remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound”, the series offers a romance tinged with mystery and the occult. The story follows an heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who finds himself involved in strange cases alongside her.
Right from the start, Park Eun-bin humorously set the tone: «I'll do my best to help viewers spend a shivering summer despite the intense heat.» A statement that perfectly reflects the mood of the project.

Promising chemistry between the actors
During the reading, the actors quickly made their characters their own. Park Eun-bin plays Cheon Yeo-ri, an elegant but isolated heiress, living on the bangs of the world because of her ability to see ghosts. The actress conveys this loneliness through her emotional performance.

Opposite her, Yang Se-jong plays Ma Gang-wook, a prosecutor guided by a strong sense of justice. Despite his fear, his character stands by Cheon Yeo-ri and becomes involved in a series of unexplained events.

Ong Seong-wu plays Kang Min-hwan, a leader with a benevolent face but more ambiguous intentions. His changing attitude reveals a character more complex than he appears.

As the reading progressed, a real chemistry developed between the actors, reinforcing the interactions between the characters. Between stories linked to spirits and the development of the relationship between the protagonists, the session has already given an insight into the mix of romance, mystery and emotion.
The production team describes the drama as follows: «Spooky in Love follows the journey of a woman who hears voices no one else can perceive, and a man who discovers hidden truths. Together, they uncover secrets linked to death and eventually fall in love, offering thrills, emotions and satisfaction in equal measure.“
“Spooky in Love” is due for broadcast in July (no international platform yet known).
