The drama “Reborn Rookie”continues to build anticipation with the release of a new teaser and poster featuring an intense power struggle.
The story follows Kang Yong-ho, played by Son Hyun-joo, a powerful chairman at the head of the Choi Sung Group conglomerate. After an accident, he finds himself living a second life in the body of a young soccer player, Hwang Jun-hyun, played by Son Hyun-joo. Lee Joon-young. Forced to start from scratch, he joined his own company as an entry-level employee.
The poster perfectly illustrates this duality: Kang Yong-ho appears as a shadow behind Hwang Jun-hyun, suggesting that he is acting through him and preparing a form of revenge.
A family and strategic confrontation
The teaser shows opposing visions of power. Hwang Jun-hyun angrily asks, «If you're going to fight to the bitter end to destroy Choi Sung, what are you going to do next?» to which Kang Yong-ho replies, «As long as I can protect Choi Sung, I'm willing to sacrifice myself a hundred times over. To this, Kang Yong-ho replies, »As long as I can protect Choi Sung, I'm willing to sacrifice myself a hundred times over."
The drama also introduces key members of the Choi Sung family. These include Casey Kang, aka Kang Bang-geul (Lee Ju-myoung), who works as an intern while hiding her identity as the chairman's daughter. Alongside them, Kang Jae-kyung (Jeon Hye-jin) aims to take control of the group, while Kang Jae-sung (Jin Goo) asserts his right as eldest son to inherit the company.
The first images suggest an unexpected alliance between Hwang Jun-hyun and Kang Bang-geul, who could join forces against the other members of the family. It remains to be seen what form this collaboration will take, as Kang Yong-ho's soul continues to inhabit Hwang Jun-hyun's body.
