Park Seo-joon could well be adding a new string to his bow! The actor, accustomed to romances and mainstream dramas, has reportedly been offered the lead role in the upcoming K-drama I Am A Sinner, adapted from Lee Moo-gi's webtoon of the same name.
A series about drug trafficking
The series will tell the dark story of Paengi (or Park Eon-jin), a young man caught up in a spiral of crime after a robbery goes wrong. Rescuing himself from an incident at a jewelry store, he grabs the gold and joins a gang involved in drug trafficking. An intense role, far removed from the romantic image we know from Itaewon Class or What's Wrong with Secretary Kim.
If Park Seo-joon confirms its participation, I Am A Sinner would mark his first real project in the noir genre, promising a darker, more brutal performance. For the moment, neither the broadcast nor the rest of the cast has been revealed. In the meantime, fans will be able to catch him this year in Waiting for Gyeong Do in December.
