JTBC has unveiled a new preview video for « Shining« a romantic drama that explores the mark left by a first love over time. The story follows Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah, 2 young people who shared a bright period in their lives before going their separate ways.
The video begins when they meet at a rural high school, after Tae-seo's transfer. Between side-by-side classes and bike rides, they slowly build a bond made up of simple, sincere moments. The narration accompanies these memories: «The time when all I could give was my heart.»
At 19, despite their personal worries, they gradually become indispensable to each other. Every shared moment brightens their days, culminating in a promise: «We should stay together forever.»
When love loses its rhythm
But the obvious gradually breaks down. The feelings remain, yet their paths no longer coincide. Tae-seo admits: «Break-ups are pretty terrible for me.»
Eun-ah calmly replies, «Don't try to match your time with mine.» The contrast with their past shows how their hearts no longer beat at the same rhythm. Finally, they part.
Ten years on, the feelings haven't disappeared
The 2 former lovers reunite a decade later. Time has passed, their lives have changed, but their mutual importance remains clear. Tae-seo admits: «She was the person I loved 10 years ago... and I still feel the same way today.»
Their relationship, suspended in the past, now seems ready to resume its course. Shining will be broadcast on March 6 at 8:50pm (KST) on JTBC and available at the same time on Netflix.
