Netflix has unveiled new images of its upcoming psychological thriller « Notes from the Last Row »supported by Choi Min-sik (Oldboy) and Choi Hyun-wook.

Adapted from the famous Spanish play of the same name, the series follows Heo Mun-oh (Choi Min-sik), a former writer turned teacher of Korean literature. Unable to publish a new novel for twenty years, his routine is turned upside down when he discovers the exceptional talent of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun-wook), a discreet student who always sits at the back of the class.

A teacher obsessed with his student's talent

The new photos unveiled by Netflix highlight the contrast between the two characters. On the one hand, Heo Mun-oh appears passionate about his teaching and obsessed with writing. On the other, Lee Kang seems detached from the world around him, preferring to stare out the window rather than follow the class.

The images also show the two men together in the teacher's office. Fascinated by an essay submitted by his student, Heo Mun-oh offers to tutor him in literature. This decision marks the beginning of an increasingly complex and ambiguous relationship, at the heart of a story in which the boundary between fiction and reality seems gradually to disappear.

A psychological thriller due on Netflix

After a particularly intriguing first teaser unveiled last week, these new images reinforce the expectations surrounding this production, which promises to be one of the most ambitious Korean thrillers of the summer.

The plot promises to explore themes of obsession, artistic creation and the sometimes blurred boundary between imagination and reality, through the disturbing relationship that develops between the teacher and his student.

All 6 episodes of «Notes from the Last Row» will be available worldwide on Netflix on June 26, 2026.
