Disney+ has just unveiled Low Lifeits eagerly awaited new original series, by unveiling a striking 1st poster and a launch date: rendez-vous on July 16, 2025 for the first 3 episodes.
Adapted from the webtoon of the same name, Low Life plunges us into the 1970s on the coast of SinanThe story of a group of modest villagers who embark on a hunt for maritime treasure that's as crazy as it is perilous. Carried by an impressive trio of actors, this drama blends dark humor, dramatic tension and social satire, in a breathtaking marine setting.

A trio of solid actors for an adventure full of twists and turns
Ryu Seung-ryong (Extreme Job, Moving) stars as Oh Gwan-seok, the charismatic leader of this unlikely group desperate to find a ship full of gold sunk beneath the waves. At his side, Yang Se-jong (Doona!, My Country) plays the role of his nephew, Oh Hee-dong, bringing a touch of freshness and dynamism to this incredible adventure. Im Soo-jung (Search: WWW, Melancholia) completes the trio as Yang Jeong-sook, a formidable businesswoman at the head of Heungbaek Industries, whose flair for money threatens to upset the balance of the group.

The poster unveiled by Disney+ immediately sets the tone: a vast blue ocean, a solitary boat and mysterious figures, accompanied by the intriguing slogan "In 1977, off the coast of Sinan, the smell of silver emanated from the sea."
Directed by Kang Yoon-sung (The Outlaws) and written by Yoon Tae-ho (Misaeng, Inside Men), Low Life promises an explosive cocktail of suspense, wry humor and social criticism. With 11 episodes broadcast throughout the summer (3 on July 16, then 2 every Wednesday until August 13), the series is already shaping up to be a summer must-see for fans of original, ambitious kdramas.
