A new historical romance project is attracting attention with casting currently in formation. Kim Jae-won is said to be in talks to play the male lead in “The Palace Is Home to Dog Flowers”(working title), alongside Park Eun-bin.
The actor's agency confirmed that it was considering the offer, suggesting a possible collaboration between the 2 stars.
An intense romance in the heart of an imperial palace
Adapted from a popular web novel by Yoon Tae-roo, the drama will be set in a fictional kingdom and tell a love story as passionate as it is conflicted.
At the center of the story is concubine Hyeon Gae-ri, known for her beauty but also for her violent and jealous temper, earning her the nickname “Canine Flower”. Opposite her is Emperor Eon, a charismatic yet cold ruler whose relationship with the concubine promises to be as complex as it is intense.
Park Eun-bin is rumored to play Hyeon Gae-ri, while Kim Jae-won could play Emperor Eon, forming a central duo at the heart of the palace's tensions.
This project would mark a new stage for Kim Jae-won, currently starring in “Yumi's Cells 3”, and would further strengthen Park Eun-bin's presence in strong, distinctive roles.
