Jang Seung-jo joins Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-joon in Brave New World

SBS has confirmed Jang Seung-jo's participation in its next drama Brave New World (working title), a much-anticipated romantic comedy in which he will star opposite Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun.

A romance between two worlds

Brave New World will tell the story of the passionate, explosive relationship between Shin Seo-ri (Lim Ji-yeon), a fiery woman from the Joseon dynasty, and Cha Se-gye (Heo Nam-joon), a cold, ruthless modern chaebol. Between past and present, this blend of romantic comedy and cultural confrontation promises an original, high-energy plot.

Jang Seung-jo as an ambitious man

In the series, Jang Seung-jo will play the role of Choi Moon-do, president of Cha Il Construction, a key subsidiary of the powerful Cha Il Group. Cha Se-gye's fifth cousin, he is as competent as he is ambitious, mastering to perfection the codes of power and human relations.

Revealed by his roles in Money Flower and Nothing Uncovered, Jang Seung-jo has won audiences over with his expressive acting and on-screen presence. He will also appear in the Netflix series As You Stood Byscheduled for release on November 7before joining the set of Brave New World, due to be released on 2026 on SBS.
