The cast of the upcoming Netflix series “Outback”continues to expand. Following the announcement of Ryu Jun-yeol, Hong Kyung now officially joins the project.
This new production is adapted from the webtoon “Geudae”, a mystery thriller that follows a man who travels to Australia in search of his missing sister. While there, he crosses paths with an enigmatic character named Hans, at the heart of the plot.
With this announcement, “Outback” is already attracting attention thanks to a never-before-seen on-screen duo.

A first collaboration with high expectations
This drama will mark the first collaboration between Hong Kyung and Ryu Jun-yeol, arousing great curiosity about their chemistry. While Ryu Jun-yeol is set to play the character of Hans, one of the central elements of the story, Hong Kyung's exact role has yet to be determined.
The project is also backed by production company Shortcake, known for producing the hit series “Weak Hero Class 1”. This connection strengthens interest in the participation of Hong Kyung, who has already made a name for himself in this type of production.
The actor's ascent continues after a year marked by a number of projects, including a Netflix series and a film, which have enabled him to consolidate his recognition with the public. His recent nomination at a major Korean ceremony further confirms his rise to prominence.
With a cast in full construction and a solid narrative base, “Outback” is shaping up to be one of Netflix's projects to watch.
