A new weekend drama project is starting to make headlines on the KBS2. According to information revealed on January 29, Ha Seok-jin is said to be in talks to play the male lead in the drama « Love Is Coming »(literal title), alongside Hani of the EXID.

In response to this information, Ha Seok-jin's agency confirmed the existence of the proposal, stating, «Ha Seok-jin has received an offer to appear in KBS2“s new weekend drama ”Love Is Coming» and is currently reviewing the project.".

A discreet heir and a romance at the heart of the market

Ha Seok-jin has been offered the role of Kim Moo-jin, chef and owner of an Italian restaurant. Born into a wealthy family (a veritable «diamond spoon») yet the character goes to great lengths to conceal his status. He dresses deliberately like a market worker, travels by bus and subway, and even works part-time in his own establishment to hide the fact that he's the owner's son.

He crosses paths with Han Gyu-rim, played by Hani, an independent shopkeeper who runs a side-dish boutique in a market. A subtle relationship develops between them, tinged with romance and unspoken words, against a backdrop of modest daily life and social differences.

“Love Is Coming” promises to be a family drama, depicting a family that is both broken and deeply bonded. A family that can be so intrusive as to make you want to distance yourself, but which remains a refuge when one of its own is hurt by the outside world.

The script is by Lee Kyung-hee, known for her groundbreaking dramas The Innocent Man and Uncontrollably Fond. The production was entrusted to in Hong Seok-gu, to whom we owe Beauty and Mr. Romantic.

The drama is scheduled to air in August, taking over from Recipe for Love on KBS2. As discussions are still ongoing, final casting has not yet been officially confirmed.
