«Love Is Coming» tells the story of 2 former lovers who reunite 8 years after a painful separation. Confronted with family responsibilities, past hurts and the difficulties of everyday life, they will gradually rediscover their feelings and try to heal the scars left by their breakup. The series promises a mature romance centered on regret, forgiveness and the possibility of loving again despite the hardships.
Ha Seok-jin will perform Kim Moo-jin, owner and chef of an Italian restaurant. From a privileged background and with an impeccable record, he falls deeply in love with Han Gyu-rim, despite her repeated refusals. After a happy love affair with her, he suddenly sees his partner disappear without explanation. Hurt by this break-up, he leaves for Italy to perfect his culinary art, before returning to Korea eight years later.
It's then that he meets up with Han Gyu-rim in a totally unexpected way.
Hani as Han Gyu-rim, The story of a young woman working in a convenience store. Once from a well-to-do family, her life is turned upside down when her family suffers a brutal collapse. Forced to multiply her number of odd jobs and take care of her relatives, she gradually sacrifices her own dreams.
Although she enjoyed a period of happiness with Kim Moo-jin, financial difficulties and the realities of life eventually drove her to end their relationship.
Eight years later, as she continues to fight for her family, her former love reappears in her life.
Secondary characters
Among the secondary characters in «Love Is Coming», Park Yoo-na as Han Gyu-young, Han Gyu-rim's (Hani) younger sister. Unlike her elder sister, she is a pragmatic and realistic young woman, always thinking about her future and carefully avoiding situations that could be unfavorable to her. Her down-to-earth character should bring a touch of realism and authenticity to the story.
Bae Jung-nam will play Jo Heung-sik, Han Gyu-rim's long-standing best friend. Very close to his mother, he is happy to help out around the house, as well as in the family store selling ready-made meals. Always positive and ready to help, he represents a reassuring and reliable presence for those around him.
On his side, Min Jin-woong will perform Park Jung-woo, a restaurant owner and best friend of Kim Moo-jin (Ha Seok-jin). A privileged witness to Kim Moo-jin and Han Gyu-rim's relationship from the outset, he never hesitates to interfere in their affairs in order to help them. His role could prove essential in the former couple's reunion.
Lee Joo-yeon will slip into the skin of Jang Seo-hyun, a talented and charismatic fashion designer. In love with Kim Moo-jin for many years, she continues to stand by his side even after becoming artistic director of a fashion brand. Torn between her feelings and her own insecurities, she will have to deal with complex emotions.
Bae Yoon-kyu will play the role of Han Gyu-oh, Han Gyu-rim's younger brother. With his remarkable good looks and natural talent for acting, he leads a double life that intrigues many people. Behind this image, however, lies a caring brother who tirelessly supports his sister through thick and thin.
Finally, Jung Bo-min will play Kwon Hee-na, a charming, energetic schoolteacher. When she accidentally runs into Han Gyu-oh, who had made an impression on her in the past, she begins to experience new and unexpected feelings. Sincere and spontaneous, she should bring freshness and dynamism to the plot.
