The next drama from SBS, Dear Xhas just unveiled a gripping trailer that promises a story both haunting and terrifying.

A meteoric rise... and a dizzying fall

Adapted from a webtoon, Dear X tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (Kim Yoo-jung)a renowned actress who rises from poverty to the pinnacle of her career by using others, only to experience an equally spectacular descent into hell. By her side, Yoon Joon-seo (Kim Young-dae)a man willing to do anything - even hell - to protect her, and Kim Jae-oh (Kim Do-hoon)inexorably drawn into its nets.

A mask of glory and darkness

The teaser illustrates Baek Ah-jin's duality. On the red carpet, she glistens in a sumptuous gown, surrounded by flashbulbs, declaring, "I want to be reborn at the very top." But behind this dazzling mask, her past and true face begin to resurface.

Snippets from her youth reveal a student with an innocent smile, but whose eyes betray tiredness and emptiness. Rumors abound: "She plays the perfect model in front of others, but behind the scenes, she extorts money..." "She pretends to be pitiful when it suits her, but it's all fake." "She's a demon hidden behind a human mask."

A chilling line that hints at the cruelty of his character.

His destructive relationship with Yoon Joon-deo and Kim Jae-oh intensifies when Baek Ah-jin challenges them: "How far are you willing to go for me? We see Kim Jae-oh in prison uniform facing justice. Yoon Joon-seo, consumed by rage, screams "Die!" as he raises a brick, on the verge of an irreversible gesture.

The teaser concludes with a haunting phrase: "May your ruin be my salvation."
