It's the cameo announced today that makes fans happy: Park Seo-joon joins Bloodhounds 2 and promises to spice up this eagerly-awaited new season.. The actor has officially confirmed his participation in the form of a special appearance, news announced on July 10, 2025 by News1 and quickly validated by Netflix.

With Bloodhounds, Netflix has one of its most popular dark and muscular sagas, adapted from a webtoon that plunges its heroes into the underworld of underground usury. After dismantling a network of ruthless pawnbrokers in the first season, Gun Woo (interpreted by Woo Do-hwan) and Woo Jin (played by Lee Sang-yi) will this time cross paths with a worldwide circuit of illegal boxing matches, led by the fearsome Baek Jeong, played by Rain. This promises even more fisticuffs and intense scenes.
But the icing on the cake is the presence of Park Seo-joonsuperstar of the big and small screens. Although his role is still being carefully kept secret by the production team, the announcement of his participation was enough to get fans excited. It has to be said that the actor has already proved in the past that a simple cameo is enough to leave an indelible mark, as in Parasite or Be With You.
A meeting with director Kim Joo-hwan
This appearance is far from coincidental: Park Seo-joon reunites with 2 well-known faces. First, director Kim Joo-hwanwith whom he had signed the hit Midnight Runners in 2017, an action-comedy that gained a cult following for its duo of police trainees. The 2 men did it again in 2019 with The Divine Fury, a supernatural thriller in which Park Seo-joon already confronted dark forces alongside Woo Do-hwan. So it's a trio that reunites for Bloodhounds 2, set against a backdrop of clandestine fights and dangerous alliances.
For the moment, Netflix has revealed nothing about the precise scenario, or how this secret character will fit into the plot. But there's every reason to believe that Park Seo-joon could play a key role, however stealthily, in shaking up Gun Woo and Woo Jin. An unexpected mentor, a former rival, a troubled financier? All hypotheses are permitted.
We'll have to wait a little longer: Bloodhounds 2 is scheduled for release on Netflix next year, with no specific release date as yet.
