As the release of “Sold Out on You”, Ahn Hyo-seop shared new details about her character and her approach to the role, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the drama.
This romantic comedy follows Matthew Lee, a multi-tasking perfectionist farmer, and Dam Ye-jin, a TV shopping host with insomnia, in an unexpected love affair.

A long-awaited return to rom-com
With “Sold Out on You”, Ahn Hyo-seop returns to SBS for the first time since “Business Proposal”, a drama that contributed greatly to her popularity.
The actor reacted with humor and sincerity: «It's a bit embarrassing to be called the “son of SBS”, but at the same time, I feel confident with them.» He adds, «It's been a long time since I've done a light romantic comedy since “Business Proposal”, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of this project.»

A two-faced character
To describe Matthew Lee, Ahn Hyo-seop chooses an unexpected word: «pineapple bread». He explains: «He may seem cold and rigid on the outside, but he's actually very warm. He cares for others and puts in a lot of effort, even if it doesn't always show. He's someone who also needs attention and love.»

In his performance, the actor sought to accentuate this contrast. «When he's working, I worked a lot on his look. He's a professional in all his fields: farmer, businessman, researcher... But in his relations with the villagers, he can be clumsy. I wanted to show a side that's both brusque and endearing.»
Ahn Hyo-seop concludes by evoking the spirit of the drama: «It's a series you can watch while eating. I hope it will bring a little comfort to everyone, however briefly, in everyday life.»
“Sold Out on You” will air from April 22 on SBS and Netflix.
