The drama “Yumi's Cells 3” continues to build anticipation, and Kim Jae-won recently shared his thoughts on his role and relationship with Kim Go-eun in the new season.
Adapted from the successful webtoon of the same name, “Yumi's Cells” follows the daily life of Yumi, an ordinary office worker, through the eyes of her brain cells, which control her emotions and actions.

A romance full of contradictions
In season 3, Kim Jae-won plays Soon-rok, an editorial director who becomes Yumi's new love interest. Behind his gentle exterior, however, lies a very different personality: Soon-rok is known for his brutal frankness and total lack of filter.
This duality will turn Yumi's daily life upside down and give rise to a relationship described as a true «love-hate romance», oscillating between attraction and tension.

A two-faced character
At work, Soon-rok comes across as a flawless professional, always meticulous and a perfectionist. But in his private life, he reveals a completely opposite side: a homebody, much more relaxed, who only shows his true face out of sight.
Kim Jae-won confided, «As a fan of the original webtoon and its adaptation into a drama, I was really thrilled to join season 3.» He added: «I was seduced by the unique way this drama makes the heart beat, as well as by Soon-rok's unexpected duality.»
The actor also spoke about the character of Yumi: «The character of Yumi, played by Kim Go-eun, as well as her cells, are really adorable. In this season, a lot happens when she meets Soon-rok.»

The drama will air from April 13 at 6pm (KST) and will be available on Viki.
