After 3 years of waiting, «Yumi's Cells» is about to make a comeback. The TVING platform has unveiled the first teaser poster for « Yumi's Cells 3 »offering a first glimpse of Kim Go-eun in this eagerly-awaited new season.
Adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name, the series tells the story of Yumi, an ordinary office worker whose thoughts, emotions and decisions are controlled by the many cells that live in her brain.
In this 3rd season, Yumi has come a long way. After much effort, she has become a best-selling author, whose romance novels appeal to a wide readership.
A new love story in prospect
Despite her professional success, love remains Yumi's most complicated challenge. For a while, her cell village seems to be going through a quiet period, with no major upheavals.
But everything changes with the arrival of Soon Rokperformed by Kim Jae-won.
The latter works as a production manager (PD) in Julie Publishing's editorial department. Charged with looking after Yumi, he doesn't hesitate to say things frankly, even if his remarks can sometimes seem harsh despite his gentle appearance.
The return of K-dramas' most adorable cells
The teaser poster immediately attracts attention thanks to the Yumi's bright, endearing smile.
The sentence accompanying the image already announces the tone of this new season: «It's been a long time... this soft, melting feeling in my heart.»
Yumi's famous cells will also be making a comeback. Among them, the Love Cell, which played a major role in the previous season, but also the Writer Cell and other cells that laugh, cry and live every moment with Yumi.
A new cell, wearing a heart on its head and holding the number 3, also makes an appearance, leaving its role in this new adventure a mystery.
The new season promises a new story full of emotions and touching moments.
«Yumi's Cells 3» will be broadcast from April 13 at 8:50pm (KST) on TVING.
