TVING has officially launched the countdown to the eagerly awaited Season 3 of « Yumi's Cells« . On February 2, the platform unveiled the very first images of Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won characters, while confirming a scheduled for release in April.
Yumi, a professional success... but still a fragile heart
Adapted from the cult webtoon, Yumi's Cells follows Yumi's daily life, told through the cells that govern her thoughts, emotions and decisions. Following the massive success of seasons 1 and 2, the series opens a new chapter in the life of its heroine.
In season 3, Yumi is no longer a simple office worker. Through hard work and perseverance, she has become a successful novelist, capable of touching the hearts of her readers. While her career is finally flourishing, her love life remains her greatest challenge. Her cell village, once bursting with energy, seems to be plunged into a strange torpor... until the arrival of a new disruptive element.
A meeting that awakens sleeping cells
Kim Jae-won joins the series as Soon-rok, a key new face this season. Recently recruited as a PD in Julie Publishing's editorial department, he is distinguished by his gentle appearance and sometimes disarming frankness. Governed by implacable logic, Soon-rok leads a quiet, perfectly organized life.
But his collaboration with Yumi will soon upset this balance. Faced with the heroine, whose emotional cell is always in turmoil, Soon-rok finds himself drawn into territory he'd never even considered. A subtle and unexpected dynamic is set in motion, promising to reawaken the emotions (and cells) that Yumi thought had been put on hold.
Yumi's Cells 3 is expected April 13 on TVING.
