Netflix has just unveiled the main poster and trailer for its next drama, You and Everything Else. Starring Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun, this series promises a deeply moving dive into the twists and turns of a friendship as strong as it is destructive.

From admiration to resentment
The story follows Eun Jung (Kim Go-eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji-hyun), two friends who have been inseparable since adolescence. One is the other's most precious, most admired, but also most envied person. Between sincere affection and silent rivalry, their relationship oscillates between love, hate and deep wounds, until the day when one asks the other to accompany her in her last moments of life.
The trailer illustrates this stark contrast: 21-year-olds Eun Jung and Sang Yeon reunite after many years at a university reunion. Despite their smiles, Eun Jung's line ("I really wish we'd never met again") immediately sets up a dramatic tension.
Between shine and tear
The trailer traces their journey: from their teenage years, when they swore eternal friendship to each other, to their twenties, when they relied on each other more than on anyone else. But behind Sang Yeon's public words of admiration lies Eun Jung's icy bitterness that her friend doesn't deserve anything she's achieved.
Little by little, misunderstandings accumulate, grudges sharpen and words become weapons. Until, in his forties, Sang Yeon seeks to renew his relationship with Eun Jung one last time, making an impossible request.
An expected emotional drama
With its tale of the frailties and fractures of an intimate bond, You and Everything Else promises to be a poignant reflection on friendship, the passage of time and the wounds that never really heal.
The series will be available on Netflix from September 12.
