The new historical-fantasy drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty promises to be as appetizing as it is intriguing. Expected on August 23 on Netflix, we've just released two mouth-watering teasers... literally and figuratively.
Inspired by a successful web novel, the story follows Yeon Ji-young (Lim Yoona), an award-winning French chef who, by a strange coincidence, finds herself propelled 500 years into the past. Lost in this unknown era, she crosses paths with Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min), a despotic king renowned as one of the worst tyrants... but also as a gourmet.
In the first teaser, we discover Ji Young disoriented, watched with suspicion by the inhabitants. Even when she admits she's from the future, no one believes her. Quickly arrested by the palace guards, she realizes that she'll have to use her culinary skills to survive. And that's how she manages to intrigue, then seduce, the fearsome monarch, using recipes and techniques unknown at the time. The video concludes with the catchy line: "Today, I've become the tyrant's chef".

The second teaser focuses on Lee Heon. Between demonstrations of power, royal tantrums and hunting parties, he leads his court with an iron fist. But his encounter with this mysterious "ghost woman" gradually upsets his daily routine. Despite her threats - forbidding any repetition of dishes - the king soon seems to succumb to Ji Young's culinary creations.
