The countdown is on for tvN's new drama, Bon Appétit, Your Majestyscheduled to premiere on August 23 at 9:10pm (KST) ! And to keep us waiting (or rather, to whet our appetites), the channel has just unveiled a teaser that mixes cooking with a duel of characters... and even blades!
Based on a best-selling web novel, this drama promises an original and tasty story. Lim YoonA (Girls' Generation) plays the role of Yeon Ji-young, a renowned French chef propelled 500 years back in time. There, she crosses paths with Lee Heonperformed by Lee Chae-mina king feared as much for his ruthless authority as for his refined palate.
In this teaser, the 2 protagonists face each other: she, in an immaculate chef's jacket (her restaurant is called "La poêle d'or" in French), armed with a kitchen knife that brings comfort and gourmandise; he, in purple royal clothes, brandishing a sword ready to slice without mercy. 2 opposing worlds, 2 ways of wielding the blade... but a palpable tension. All in a half top chef / half saeguk atmosphere.
Everything suggests that the meeting between this passionate leader and this tyrannical monarch will be no picnic. Intense glances, silent confrontation and a clash of temperaments: the first images set the tone for a drama where love could be born where you least expect it.
