Phantom Lawyer continues to unveil new images showcasing Yoo Yeon-seok's spectacular transformations. In this drama mixing law and the supernatural, the actor plays Shin I-rang, a lawyer who can see ghosts... and even be possessed by them.
It all begins when he opens his practice in room 501 of the Okcheon building, formerly occupied by a shaman. As soon as he moves in, his life changes: spirits begin to appear, forcing him to confront their regrets and injustices.
Unexpected metamorphoses
The new photos show just how much the character changes according to the spirit that possesses him. Sometimes he adopts the attitude of an angry middle-aged man, hands in pockets and hard stare, sometimes he displays the icy calm of a rational scientist.
One image in particular catches the eye: Yoo Yeon-seok in a traditional female hanbok, taking a selfie backstage. This detail suggests that the drama will play fully with contrasts and multiple identities.
Faced with these sudden changes in voice, expression and gestures, Shin I-rang himself seems unsettled, touching his face as if to verify what is real.
A major player's challenge
The production team explains, «Shin I-rang doesn't just see ghosts, he faces their lives and emotions.»
They add: «Yoo Yeon-seok appears with a totally different energy in each episode. In addition to the middle-aged man and scientist characters visible in the photos, he will be possessed by various spirits of the deceased.»
Phantom Lawyer will be broadcast on March 13 at 9:50pm (KST), pending an OTT.
