SBS continues to unveil new images of « Phantom Lawyer« its next fantastic legal drama. The series follows Shin I-rang, an ordinary lawyer whose life is turned upside down when he starts seeing... ghosts.
Alongside brilliant lawyer Han Na-hyun, he must now resolve the injustices left behind by some unusual clients: minds incapable of finding peace. But this heroic role doesn't come by choice. Shin I-rang has been given this power and must learn to live with it.
Actor Yoo Yeon-seok plays a character who refuses to give up on people in distress, even when he's terrified himself. Between panic in the face of the supernatural and determination in court, his demeanor constantly oscillates between comedy and seriousness.
A clumsy but formidable lawyer
Since he's been possessed by ghosts, absurd situations arise without warning, creating many comic moments. However, when a trial comes to a head, Shin I-rang's logic is remarkable, and he manages to turn things around.
This duality (clumsy in everyday life but incisive in the law) creates a different kind of hero, more human than invincible.
A tense alliance with Han Na-hyun
The contrast is all the greater with Han Na-hyun. Where Shin I-rang acts instinctively, she favors a cold, rational approach. The two lawyers often clash, but their unexpected collaboration gradually becomes indispensable.
The production team explains: « Phantom Lawyer combines SBS's experience in legal dramas with fantastical elements. The series will offer satisfying twists and a message for those who have been wronged. Shin I-rang isn't a perfect hero: he hesitates, but ultimately can't look away. It will be fun to follow the birth of a new kind of hero.»
Phantom Lawyer will be broadcast on March 13 at 9:50pm (KST) on SBS (pending OTT).
