The ENA channel has unveiled new images of « Honor« its next courtroom drama tinged with mystery. Adapted from a Swedish series, the drama follows 3 lawyers confronted with a major scandal buried in the past. With them, Yeon Woo-jin plays Baek Tae-ju, a key figure in the plot.
The story's central character, Baek Tae-ju, is an innovator who has turned the South Korean IT industry upside down, and now heads up The Prime, a powerful technology company. A role on the borderline between power, influence and shadowy areas, which promises to be decisive in the thriller's development.
Between apparent benevolence and cold rationality
Baek Tae-ju is characterized by a profoundly dual personality. Endowed with a formidable analytical mind, he acts with an implacable logic and an ability to stand back that destabilize his interlocutors. But behind this cold rationality also lies a soft-spoken man with a warm demeanor, capable of disarming others with an almost reassuring calm.
In some shots, Yeon Woo-jin's serene smile and calm gaze exude confidence and mastery. In other shots, his expression becomes firmer: the gaze becomes sharper, the posture more rigid, revealing a calculating coldness.
Yeon Woo-jin accurately portrays the meeting point between Baek Tae-ju's warmth and coldness. He's an actor capable of heightening tension not only through his dialogue, but also through the control of his expressions and breathing. He will be one of the main sources of tension in Honor. "
