SBS has unveiled the poster and broadcast date for its new romantic drama Would You Marry Mesupported by Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min. The series, which mixes humour and romance, will air from October 10 at 9:50pm (KST).
At the heart of the plot: a 90-day mock wedding, staged to win an unusual prize... a luxury bridal home. Choi Woo-shik plays Kim Woo-jooheir to Korea's oldest bakery, while Jung So-min plays Yoo Marya resourceful entrepreneur who offers him this unexpected contract.
A proposal like no other
The official poster already sets the tone: a miniature house placed delicately between two hands, accompanied by the question "Would you marry me? There's no engagement ring here: a mansion becomes the symbol of this pretend union. The image is bathed in pink light, recalling both the warmth of a dreamy married life and the illusion behind this arranged marriage.

An unlikely couple, between tension and romance
The contrast between the two heroes promises to sparkle. Kim Woo-joo, only son and perfect heir to the bakery MyeongsoondangYoo Mary, a designer who has been through a lot: a painful break-up, a real-estate swindle... and now this arranged marriage to save her situation.
According to the production team, "We wanted to show Mary romantically proposing to Woo Joo that she marry to keep the house she's won, while inviting viewers into their home."
They add: "Whether or not their life as faux newlyweds can last 90 days remains to be seen. Between sweetness, tension and romantic comedy, the story of this impromptu couple in Would You Marry Me is sure to surprise."
With this mix of funny situations, material stakes and underlying romance, Would You Marry Me is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited romantic comedies of the fall season.
