tvN has unveiled a particularly tense new teaser for « Siren's Kiss« a romance thriller that promises to dangerously blur the line between investigation and romance. At the heart of this story is a detective who will do anything to uncover the truth... even if it means falling in love with the woman he suspects.
In these new images, Cha Woo-seok (Wi Ha-joon) embarks on an investigation that quickly goes beyond the professional. Tasked with solving a case of insurance fraud linked to a series of suspicious deaths, he finds himself up against Han Seol-ah (Park Min-young), an auctioneer as elegant as she is enigmatic. All the men who have claimed to love her are dead. And yet, it's precisely by choosing to love her back that Woo-seok believes he can unlock her secret.
A femme fatale at the heart of all suspicions
The teaser opens with a sentence that's heavy on meaning: «Every crime has a motive.» From that moment on, doubt sets in. Han Seol-ah, aware of the suspicions hanging over her, confidently challenges the inspector: «In the end, you won't find out anything.» Far from backing down, Woo-seok decides to cross a dangerous line: getting emotionally close to her, despite the risks.
As the investigation progresses, the deaths pile up and the tension mounts. Han Seol-ah interrogates Woo-seok with a chilling question, translated in the teaser: «Have you fallen in love with the woman who caused your friend's death?» Meanwhile, Baek Joon-bum (Kim Jung-hyun) confronts Seol-ah bluntly: «Do you really think you're out for revenge?» All of these phrases add to the ambiguity surrounding this fascinating heroine, who oscillates between victim, manipulator and possible culprit.
The teaser hints at a central question: is Han Seol-ah really a modern siren leading men to their deaths, or a woman trapped in a more complex truth? And above all, can Cha Woo-seok go all the way without losing his own life?
